I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13
In a youth retreat a fellow commented: “All things? man, you gotta be kidding!” I replied “Nope, All things. All things Christ wants you to do.” That strength is available 24-7. There are no strings attached and no fine print, nothing except our total yielding to Christ.
Paul learned about strength from Christ on the rough anvil of experience: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). According to church tradition Paul finally was decapitated on a Roman chopping block.
Every day Christians around the world are being martyred for their Lord. They can do all things. If you have received Christ, He is enabling you to do all things for Him. So you have every reason to run the race with confidence.
Father, what a comfort it is to draw strength from Christ who was given all power in heaven and in earth!

Praise God for our risen savior the Lord Jesus Christ. That through him we are walking in God’s strength for us.
